Tip profiling machine, Kunibert Michel

In contrast to conventional tip profilers, the Kunibert Michel tip profiler can scrape the entire length of the reed, which therefore greatly simplifies reed making.

The tip profiler does not have the usual clamp to hold down the reed. This means that the entire blade of the reed is free to be scraped. It also solves the issue of a too tight clamp lifting the reed's blade from the tongue.

The spring mounted in front of the knife ensures that the reed's blade is flush with the tongue, creating the most accurate results.
